Hunza Serena Hotel is looking for a Health Safety and Environment Manager for its hotels in Karimabad, Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan with 8-10 years of professional experience. The application deadline is 10 March 2024.
Responsibilities
- Heading the department and making sure the Health & Safety practices are being followed.
- Liaison with external authorities related to Environment Health and Safety.
- Keeping track of training and the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Identify training needs related to Health Safety & Environment Discipline.
- Assisted with the development of the H&S policies, procedures, reports, audits, and compliance.
- Performing periodic work site visits and inspections of various construction and maintenance projects to ensure all required health and safety protocols and procedures are followed.
- Overseeing the administrative process to ensure all departments have up-to-date and required policies and job hazard assessments at all times as per compliance regulations.
- Completion of daily required tracking and documentation on activities, site inspections, and required legislative compliance research and reports along with entering related safety information into required databases.
- Facilitation of required safety training programs and courses including Fire Safety, Risk Assessment, Environment Awareness, and First Aid.
- Being called upon to assist with H&S emergencies and required meetings with the ability to convey and follow required OH&S legislation to senior management.
- Acting as a health and safety leader when dealing with coworkers while demonstrating a high standard of safety conduct, behavior, and attitude towards a positive and safe workplace culture.
- Outline and follow risk hazard reports critically every week.
- To monitor the requirements and their compliance regarding Health and Safety Standards, ISO14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001.
- Act as a leader and coordination regarding planning organizing and monitoring all steps required to implement the ISO and WWF Green office requirements.
- To conduct strategic data analysis related to HSE reports for continuous improvement.
- To arrange CSR activities related to the Environment on an annual basis.
- To prepare an OHS Monthly report and to identify the work-related hazards and their mitigations.
- To ensure the Fire Safety Equipment of the Hotel is being monitored and updated by the relevant department.
- From time to time the reporting line may assign tasks related to the H&S discipline or field not listed specifically in this document.
- Acting as a liaison for all the Q&C activities.
- To develop and implement the SOPs related to any health pandemic.
